Yes, the Martha I Word passenger list is the one I assume has my ancestor. HOWEVER, Stephen, Esther, David and Elizabeth are mysterious to me.
A brother named Stephen supposedly helped Gad break prairie -- definitely a young man's activity. The Stephen on the ship is the wrong age, though. The Eliza James could potentially be William's wife, but Gad's mother supposedly died in Wales before the family emigrated.
Honestly I look at those four mysterious Jameses who were on the ship with my family members, and I wonder if something about that other family made them decide that's the new name they wanted. IDEK.
